Mauritius: Port Louis Street Food Walking Tour

1.Port Louis Street Food Walking Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 93 reviews · 2 hours · from $70Our pick

Spend two hours walking from Caudan Waterfront into Port Louis with a small group of up to 10. Guides such as Christophe, Christopher, and Sailen connect about eight food tastings to Mauritius’s Indian, Chinese, African, and Gujarati roots. Expect market stops, Chinatown, local-only food spots, plenty to eat, and a city walk in English or French.

“The tour was fun and Christopher is a knowledgable, authentic and very nice guide. It was a mix of „I wouldn‘t dare to try this if I was alone“ and well known food but „the best in place“. The portions were regular size and I couldn‘t finish all of it, but I took my leftovers with me for dinner - so very good value for money. We walked a lot and learned much about Mauritian history. Would recommend 👍🏼”

Grand Baie: Coastal Cuisine & Culture Walking Tour

7.Coastal Cuisine & Culture Walking Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.7 · 3 reviews · 3 hours · from $57

Spend three hours tasting Mauritian street food and seafood with guide Adrian in Grand Baie. Walk about 3 km from Super U through cafés, restaurants, the bazaar, Grand Baie Public Beach, and Sunset Boulevard. The small group has no more than eight people, with English, French, or Mauritian Creole spoken.

“Adrian was a great guide telling us about Grand Baie and food in Mauritius. Food we tested was amazing. However there weren’t that many food stops only four which considering the price of the tour per person is quite little. As there isn’t much to see in Grand Baie thought this would have focused more on food. I would have hoped we would have tried out more street food in Grand baie. The food we did taste were amazing so in this case quality went over quantity.”
